Fraudulent Property Tax Text Messages

Colorado county officials are warning property owners about a scam involving fraudulent text messages claiming that a recipient’s property is scheduled to be sold for unpaid property taxes. These messages often appear to come from an individual identifying as “Robert with Property Tax Help” and may include personal property details in an attempt to appear legitimate.

These messages are a scam. Counties do not initiate property tax collections, sales, or foreclosure actions through text messages.

Winter Snow Plowing Operations Plan

As winter weather approaches, Jackson County Road & Bridge (JCRB) reminds residents and travelers that snow removal operations typically occur from November through April, as conditions allow. County-maintained roads do not include state highways (Highways 14, 125, and 127), which are maintained by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

No Fire Restrictions Currently in Effect – Continued Caution Urged

At this time, there are no fire restrictions in place within the community. While conditions are currently stable, officials strongly urge all residents and visitors to continue exercising caution when engaging in any activity that could pose a fire risk.
