Surveyor

The County Surveyor is responsible for maintaining accurate records of property boundaries and land measurements throughout the county. This role helps ensure that public and private lands are properly identified and documented for legal, development, and infrastructure purposes.

The County Surveyor:

• Preserves and maintains official survey records, plats, and corner monuments
• Verifies property boundaries using historical records and modern surveying methods
• Supports county projects such as roads, bridges, and public infrastructure
• Reviews subdivision plats and legal land descriptions for accuracy
• Assists with resolving boundary and right-of-way questions
• Works closely with the Assessor, Planning, Public Works, and GIS departments
